This year, with Halloween on a Friday, many Trick or Treating events will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014. Note: These dates and times are taken either from each municipality website or official Facebook page. If that information was not available, I called the administration offices and asked for Trick or Treat dates and times. Fall Fun Events and Pumpkin Patches 
In order of date

Hozak Farms Fall Festival
When:  10 a.m. - 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in October, and will also be open on Monday, October 13 (Columbus Day).  In Clinton. There are hayrides, pumpkin picking & painting, refreshments, face painting, pony rides, farm animals, and a corn maze.

Janoski's Pumpkinland
When:  10 a.m. - 5 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in October. There are hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a cornstalk maze, a haunted barn, a straw jump, bouncies, crafts, food, pumpkin painting and pony rides. In Clinton. Cost: $6 per person. Monaca United Methodist Church Applefest
When: Saturday, October 11 at 10 a. m. Great family event with face painting, kids' activities and a pumpkin patch! At Monaca United Methodist Church, 813 Indiana Avenue. Free.

Bridgewater Pumpkinfest
When: October 11 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Bridge St. in Bridgewater. Pumpkinfest features a number of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy. Plus, there’s always plenty to eat while you’re enjoying live entertainment by some of our area’s most talented musicians. Be sure to bring the kids down for this wonderful celebration of the season! Free.

Hopewell Fall Fest
When:  Sunday, October 12 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. Activities include Corn Maze, Hayrides, Pumpkin Painting Contest. Crafts, Games and Prizes for the Kids. Barnyard Petting Zoo and Wild Animal Show. Hopewell Community Park

Apple Butter Fest
When: October 18 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. At the Captain William Vicary Mansion. Learn something new while delicious apple butter is prepared: bobbin lace, tatting, cross stitch, rug hooking, weaving, spinning, quilting, crochet, basic knots. 

Harvestfest Party
When: Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. At Townsend Park, 3rd ave., New Brighton. Fun for the entire family including scarecrow building, children's games, and light refreshments.

New Brighton Halloween Parade
When: Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. on 3rd Ave. in New Brighton

Trick or Treat at the YMCA
When: October 25 from 1-2 p.m. Ages 10 and under: Spend a fun day at the YMCA enjoying a fun and safe Halloween trick-or-trick event. Join us in the Multi-Purpose Room for some fun activities.


Beaver Halloween Hop
WhenOctober 25 at 10 a.m. in downtown Beaver. Costume parade at 10, children line up in front of Snitger's, march down Third St., then visit downtown businesses for treats.



Monaca Halloween Parade

When: October 25 at 5:30 p.m. Parade starts at Pennsylvania Ave. to 13th St, then to St. John's for festivities including face painting, balloon animals and pumpkin carving.


Haunted Events
Editor's note: I have some age levels listed for these events. Some are very kid-friendly and some are not. If you have any questions, please contact these places and ask them what ages they suggest could participate. And here's an article about this topic.

Haunted Mini-Golf at The Windmill
When:  Now through November 1. Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday until 11 p.m. and Sunday until 10 p.m. at the Windmill in Hopewell.
Try to avoid Monsters, Ghosts, and more as you play through 18 holes of haunted mini golf. Ice cream and food is available. Play miniature golf with glow-in-the-dark golf balls! Cost:  $12 adults, $10 children 12 and under. Click here for more info or call 724-375-5350.

Beaver County Humane Society Beastly Haunted Trail
When: October 3 through 31, Fridays and Saturdays in October. Join us for thrills and chills on the Haunted Trail. Not recommended for children under 12!

Zombies of the Corn
When: Oct. 3, 4, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, Nov. 1 at Three Rivers Paintball: Zombie Shoot and Corn Maze. 7 p.m. till 12 p.m. Zombie Shoot, corn maze, wagon ride, ghost stories, campfires, food and fun. Adults:  $29.99, children under 10:  $19.99. 282 Rochester Road, Freedom

Freddy’s Haunts
When: Thursday through Sunday in October. 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 27 (Starts Sept. 20) at 192 McCune Road, Independence Township. Follow the Freddy’s signs from the Aliquippa exit of Route 376. For older kids and adults. Open rain or shine! Cost: $12 For information click here or call 724-378-4073.
