Band-Aids for Buddies

December is a time of giving and this year we would like to give
to the children of Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. We will be
collecting character Band-aids for the children of the
Hematology/Oncology unit at Children's Hospital.
They will be delivered the last week of December or at the
beginning of January.

Christmas Time

Many parents have been requesting a list of Staff Members for
Christmas. I broke it up into Toddlers, Preschool and
SchoolAge Staff. I put a list on the parent table by the
front cubbies, where you turn in your schedules. If you
have any questions please see Julie.

December Book Orders

We will not have a Scholastic Order in December.
We are going to have a Book Fair the week of
December 13th. We will also have everything
out for our Annual Christmas Open House. It
will be a cash and carry Book Fair :)

Pumpkin Fun!!!

The 3 year olds were able to open up a Pumpkin and see and feel what is inside of a pumkin. Then they baked the seeds for a yummy snack.
Their faces express how the insides felt. :)

Fire Department Visit!!!

Today the Chippewa Fire Dept, came to visit and talk
about Fire Safety. The children were also able to go
out and look at the truck and also sit inside the truck.
Please Talk to your child about the different things they
talked about today.

PRESCHOOL UPDATE!!!

We are going to try something new this Preschool year. We want to add to the process of Kindergarten readiness with some simple homework. Once a week on Thursdays we will send a folder home with your child. The homework will be on the right side of the folder. We will use the left side for newsletters, reminders, requests and special announcements. There will be 2 papers for you to do with your child at home. You may return the folder on Monday or Tuesday with the completed homework. We will put a sticker on it to give positive reinforcement. We are trying hard to teach our new group of 4 year olds that Kindergarten is not that far away.

Welcome Jacob Edward!!

Rachel and Josh welcomed their son
Jacob Edward to the world on
Saturday June 26, at 1:31 pm.
He was 8.8 lbs. Mom and baby
are home and doing very well.

NEW DISMISSAL POLICY!!!

We have a new procedure for the dismissal of
children from the daycare. When you come in
to pick up your children, you must initial beside
your child's name on the clip board. This will be
in all rooms! If you have any questions, feel free
to ask any of the teachers.

Pepperoni Roll Delivery!!!!

If you ordered Pepperoni Rolls, Please be sure to
Pick them up WEDNESDAY afternoon.
They are to be delivered sometime
Wednesday morning and I will need a little
time to count them. But, Please be sure to

We are having a Pepperoni Roll sale for our
School Age children. If you are interested in

ICE CREAM FRIDAYS!!!!

We will once again have the Ice Cream Truck
come to visit the Daycare on Friday Afternoons
for our children in the
Preschool and School Age classrooms to buy
Ice Cream.
Prices range from $.50 to $2.00
We will have envelopes here at the daycare if you
would like to leave money for your child to buy or you
may send in money every Friday.

FATHER'S DAY LUNCH!!!!

School Age children will be having a
Father's Day lunch with Dad, Grandpa,
or a special person in their life. Invitations
will be coming home with the school age
children.
We will have it on Friday June 18th,
at 11:30-12:30.
Lunch will be served at 12:00.

WATER DAY!!!!

We will be having water days when the weather
cooperates with us for the 2 yr. old class, 3 and 4 yr.
old preschool classes.
2 yr. olds will have water day on Tuesdays
Preschool classes on Fridays.

Please bring in a bathing suit and towel for
your child.
Sunscreen must be applied at home.

SCHOOL AGE INFORMATION!!!!

There is a lot of information that was sent home for our
School Age Children. Please check your cubby.

MOVIE DAY!!!
We will be going to the movies every Wednesday in
Monaca. The bus will leave at 9AM. They will NOT be
permitted to purchase anything from the concession stand.
Cost for the movies will be $1.00 per movie, unless paid in
advance, then it will be $5.00 for all 10 movies. Children have
to earn to go to the movies with good behavior. Permission slips
must be signed every week.

ICE CREAM
The Ice Cream Truck will be coming again this year. Items range
from $.50 to $2.00. There will be an envelope with your child's name
on it if you would like to leave money at the daycare.

FUNDRAISERS
We will be having some fundraisers in order to pay for our field
trips and the bus. The more we raise the more we can do!!!!!!
